One of the most popular customs is krashanka, or egg dyeing. In Ukraine, eggs are dyed in bright colors, symbolizing the joy of the resurrection and the spring awakening of nature. In the process of dyeing eggs, various natural dyes are used - onion skins, beets, berries, herbs, etc. It is important to note that krashankas are not necessarily dyed only red, as is customary in other countries.

Another of the Easter rites is the consecration of Easter baskets with food. They must contain eggs, Easter cake, krashanki, cheese, sausage, greens, etc. The baskets are then carried to the church to be blessed by the priest.

A traditional Easter dish in Ukraine is Easter cake - sweet bread served on a high plate, decorated with various patterns of icing sugar and candied fruits. Meat dishes are also very popular, such as shish kebab and fried sausage.

In some regions of Ukraine, Easter games and competitions are held, for example, rolling eggs and playing the goat. Also on this day you can hear Easter hymns and songs.

In addition to traditional customs, Ukraine also has a number of religious ceremonies that are held in churches, such as Sunday services and the blessing of water.

In general, Easter in Ukraine is a bright and joyful holiday that unites people and reminds of the importance of family and religious values.
