Today I would like to share with you how we celebrate Easter in Ukraine and how I celebrate this holiday with my family.

Easter is one of the most important Christian holidays celebrated in Ukraine and many other countries of the world. On this day, we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead and brought hope to our hearts.

In Ukraine, Easter is a day when the whole family gathers at a common table, shares eggs, pastries and other sweets. Traditionally, just before Easter, we prepare paska - a special bread that is decorated with the symbols of this holiday. We also paint eggs in different colors and decorate them with different patterns and symbols.

On Easter day we go to church and listen to a special service where singing and sermons remind us of the importance of this day. After the church service, we gather at the table, where delicious dishes and sweets are waiting for us. Our homes are filled with the aromas of apiaries, krashenka and other festive dishes.

In addition, on this day we often make charitable contributions to those in need to help them celebrate Easter and bring hope and joy into their lives.

I remember this holiday from childhood as something serious, and when I became an adult, I realized what a holy and serious holiday it is for our spiritual life. Usually we prepare for this holiday in advance by buying food and preparing dishes. We usually bake Easter cakes on Clean Thursday or Saturday, since they usually don’t work out on Good Friday - this is such a sign) We also decorate our house with Easter symbols, such as eggs , rabbits and flowers. We paint eggs in different colors and my favorite thing is to collect eggs and beat them with my father, whose egg does not break, it is stronger)

On Easter day, we gather at the table with relatives and friends, share experience, joy and love. We say words of recognition and gratitude to each other, give gifts and pleasant surprises.

Finally, I would like to address Catholic men who also celebrate Easter. I want to congratulate you on this Holy Easter holiday and wish you goodness and grace in your home. May your soul always be calm, above your head - a peaceful and clear sky, and beside you - reliable and faithful friends.
