This is a specific reply to an earlier blog from a man who is a bit suspicious yet wanting to believe in the ladies here.

BELIEVE it. However, you should take the time to read what the lady writes. I would guess you are correct in that you think some ladies here write "form letters" and I think you have a good grasp of why they do so; some are not comfortable with our language, or another needs to translate FOR them (and as a person who has English as MY second language, I totally understand some ideas do not translate well), or they are young ladies and still finding themselves while still aching for some man to be THEIR man.

All I can say is I found MY special one here, and yes, the very first letter was a bit of a "form letter", but she listens to me and I listen to her and we have grown to understand even with the complicated language differences that love is a constant that is undeterred by mere language issues.

Please, ladies of Ukraine and Russia and Moldova and other traditionally Slavic areas, understand that in America and Canada and Great Britain it is MUCH more usual for the age difference to be smaller than you ladies are accustomed to, and that your hoped for man will be hesitant simply because of the age differences. Gentlemen, please understand what she is accustomed to seeing--marriages between ladies of 25 and men of 50 are COMMON in Europe and particularly so the farther east in Europe one travels. It falls back to hundreds of years ago when only older men had established trades and the customs persist to this day. Neither tradition is better, nor worse; simply believe that the ladies here ARE seeking their very special man and it is difficult at best to make this happen by long distances. Admire the beauty and the bravery of the lass who reaches out for someone she wants to be the perfect complement and bride for, as you also should be patient and reach right back for her.

I did. So also did MY special one, and together we will solve all the tiny little barriers--language, culture, time zones, "careful writing" as opposed to the words of her (and YOUR) heart.

I am nothing special as a man, and neither is any other man here seeking his one woman. Neither also are the ladies here, Gentlemen! But admire and be in awe of the bravery it takes for a lass to reach through an internet connection to find the one man for her.

Yes, you CAN have a bad experience here--people who use others are not confined to any one country. You can also find the perfect one for YOU, and that journey is well worth the effort.
