1. A complete rejection of cigarettes, cigars, cigars... in short, from smoking in general.
2. Regular physical training. Here they made an important clarification that the required weekly minimum is 150 minutes. You must admit that two and a half hours a week (not a day!) is not difficult even for a lazy or very busy person.
3. Limit alcohol consumption. It has long been a well-known truth that "you should drink in moderation," but many (mostly men) happily claim that everyone has their own measure and grunt to oblivion. Here, too, the Swedish experts did a good job, specifying a safe alcoholic dose, which is no more than 14 alcoholic units per week, one alcoholic unit is equal to 30 grams of vodka, so those who prefer other drinks should stick to the equivalent.
4. A balanced diet. It is balanced, that is, without newfangled distortions in either the protein or carbohydrate component.
The conclusions of scientists from the "country of Tre Krunor" are confirmed by their colleagues from the United States and Germany. They claim that people who don't smoke, drink moderately, and watch their weight live 7 years longer on average. And those who have completely given up alcohol, do not smoke and do not overeat live 11 years longer in the case of men and 12 years longer in the case of women than people who are prone to these bad habits. You must admit that 11 years of healthy life is a great result for such a simple method as giving up tobacco, alcohol, and excess food!
And, although Swedish scientists call the above four factors the main ones, they can, and even should, be supplemented by a number of other important conditions that contribute to longevity.
5. Moderate nutrition and therapeutic fasting. There are a number of detailed and long-term experiments (for example, studies in the United States for several decades) that lead to the conclusion that fasting prolongs life!
6. Healthy sleep. We also cannot but mention the numerous studies that have shown that sleep (both its quality and duration) affects life expectancy.
7. The right, i.e. positive psychological attitude. It has a serious impact on life expectancy! In other words, those who really want to live live longer. This aspect has also been substantiated, for example, by scientists from the American Columbia University.
