First, yoga helps us learn to listen to our body and mind. In our modern world, we often forget that our body needs attention and care. Yoga teaches us to be in the present moment, to pay attention to our sensations, breathing and movements. It helps us better understand ourselves and our needs, and make more informed decisions in our daily lives.
Secondly, yoga promotes physical health and flexibility. Regular practice of asanas (physical postures) helps to strengthen our muscles, improve coordination and flexibility. Yoga also promotes proper alignment of the spine and improved posture, which is especially important in our sedentary educational and office lives. Through yoga, I felt my strength and flexibility improved, as well as becoming more energetic and aware in my body.
Thirdly, yoga helps us find peace and balance in the mind. Through breathing exercises and meditation, we can calm our thoughts, relieve stress and anxiety, and improve our concentration and ability to relax. Yoga has become for me an oasis of peace and tranquility in the hustle and bustle of modern life, where I can find time for self-development and inner growth.
And finally, yoga promotes the development of self-awareness and self-awareness.
