10th place. Reading
Books have been the guardians of wisdom and experience for generations. It is to them that we turn in all sorts of situations - from reading a detective story or a novel to pass the time, to finding an answer to a question we are curious about. Unfortunately, in the 21st century, the importance of reading has declined. The Internet has made people less aware of the value of books, and yet many have remained faithful to one of mankind's oldest hobbies. Read! Read scientific, fiction, historical, any kind of literature. Each book is a unique story that can give you a lot and even change your life dramatically.
9th place. Tourism
This hobby is in the top 10 most popular because travel gives us many amazing and unforgettable experiences. Many people's desire to see the world, experience new sensations, communicate with other peoples is much stronger than the need to buy a house or an expensive car. I know many examples of people saving up all year long to go to new and interesting places. Of course, you have to earn decent money to go travelling, but it is worth it. And it does not matter what kind of travel you like, because the main thing is to get rid of everyday worries and get a lot of positive emotions.
8th place. Photo
This is one of the most popular and fashionable hobbies in the world. And I think there are several reasons for that. Now everyone can afford an inexpensive camera. Even with the camera of a good phone like the Apple iPhone or Sony, you can get decent pictures. Another plus of photography is that you can do it all year round at any time. It's also a lot of fun and meeting people. And professional photography is a whole creative thing with all sorts of landscapes, portraits and wedding shots.
7th place. Cooking
Food is a very big part of our lives, which is why cooking has become a very popular hobby around the world. For many people, cooking is very much a chore. But there are people who approach the process more creatively. Cooking a delicious meal is a true art. Both women and men are involved in this hobby. There are a lot of websites with interesting recipes, many video courses, and various cooking schools are being opened. All it takes is the will!
6th place. Choreography
I had to keep dancing! I constantly catch myself thinking about it. As a child I did dance for more than 3 years. I love revisiting photos from ballroom competitions! It's never too late to start, but there are other hobbies and passions now. But for many people dancing is like a drug, certainly in a good way. Dance is movement. Dance is meditation. Dance is a communication of feminine and masculine energy. You can talk about them a lot, but it is better to dissolve in the dance itself!
5th place. Growing indoor plants
This activity is more than 5,000 years old. The ancient Chinese, who were rich and poor, used to decorate their homes with houseplants. In Europe, this passion appeared only in the 18th century, and in Russia, this fashion brought Peter I. Now many have a very popular hobby. Engaged in home floriculture, you can get a huge relaxation, which we are so lacking today in urban conditions. Apart from that, plants also bring practical benefits. They combat negative influences such as polluted air and high levels of electromagnetic radiation. So take up the hobby!
4th place. Magic
Yeah, I didn't believe it at first either. I never even thought it could be such a popular hobby. It's all kinds of rituals, omens, divinations, charms and other weird and not so weird things. And every year the "magic" branch is getting more and more popular on the Internet. Personally I am not interested in magic, but in esoteric knowledge which helps me to expand my mind and grow spiritually. Magic? Why not, as long as you enjoy it!
3rd place. Hunting and Fishing
So, we've already come to the top 3 most popular hobbies in the world. And in 3rd place, we see the most ancient of men's activities, which helped them survive, feed and clothe their families. Of course, when men distanced themselves from nature, this need disappeared, but the instinct remained. These hobbies allow us to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy nature. Personally I like it very much - sitting on the Don in the morning with a fishing rod! And my dad is an avid fisherman. Whenever he has free time, he goes fishing. Despite the fact that these two hobbies are energy-intensive, I still come back refreshed and with renewed energy.
2nd place. Collecting .
Probably everyone in his life collected something. Stamps, postcards, models, chewing gum wrappers used to be popular. Personally, when I was a kid, I used to play with chips all day long. I had just a huge collection. Some people's desire to collect goes away as they get older, but others are really passionate about it for life. You can collect anything. You can buy some for next to nothing and some for next to nothing. You can collect anything! From beer bottles to meteorites. You just have to be creative!
1st place. Sport
Today it is fashionable to be active, vigorous, healthy, with positive energy and a cheerful mood. And all this can give the most popular hobby in the world - playing sports. As a kid we used to play football, then bodybuilding, and now yoga and cycling. Maybe time will pass and things will change again. But, as they say, we are with sports for life. Since I write a lot, I have to compensate for my sedentary lifestyle with a lot of exercise. Which I do at least 3 times a week. Exercise and be healthy!
That's how we looked at the most popular hobbies in the world.
I hope I was able to help you have a good day
