Traveling with children.

“Spend a few days in Aqaba on the Red Sea. Book an individual tour by car to Petra, after which they will return. I was told that it’s somehow dangerous to go there with children on my own,” says Lyudmila, a friend who works in a travel agency.

This journey will not end. A friend found tickets for a low-cost airline from Amman to Budapest. So we will go to the capital of Jordan, where we will stay for three days. I hope everything goes without incident.

"I booked a hotel on Booking. The reviews were good: beautiful, authentic, in the historical part of the city. We arrive, and there is rubbish, stink, mold, no water, very dark, the windows overlook a landfill. Understanding that there will be three days in such a room dangerous, I started looking for a new hotel," my colleague Lyudmila shares her experience.

Since they did not have time to pay for the room, the money was not lost. The new Arabic-style hotel cost a little more, but the conditions would be better and safer. After spending three days in Amman, my sons and I will fly to Budapest, from where we will take a bus to Ukraine. We will also spend about five hours at the border due to in-depth checks during the war.

I like to relax with my sons. Always a lot of plans. Jordan generally disappointed last year but are very pleased with Petra and Eilat. These are the emotions that blocked all the nuances.

For those who are just going on vacation, I advise ..

Consider the wishes of the child. This is where the travel plan should begin.
Traveling for the first time - ask for help from travel agents. According to Lyudmila, even with her travel experience, the incident with the hotel still caused panic and confusion in the child. For comfort and to save nerves, stock up on support.
Choose safe countries. For the first trips, Europe is suitable.
Read reviews of hotels and hostels. For example, on Booking, and on Google. Consider the worst reviews, how new/old they are. Also pay attention to who exactly writes them. For if a person has left only 1-5 reviews in the entire history and all are negative, then this says more about the person than about the hotel.
Play it safe with a notarized permission from the father to export the child. According to Lyudmila, there is a human factor at the border. Some of the customs officers may not check it, while others may read every letter.
Remember health insurance. It's about security, because anything can happen.
