Secondly, for many women, a better appearance contributes to a sense of self-confidence and empowerment. When they feel confident about their appearance, it has a positive effect on their overall self-esteem. Third, it's all psychology. Evolutionary psychology suggests that certain traits associated with attractiveness, such as clear skin, symmetrical facial features, and a healthy physique, indicate good health and fertility. From an evolutionary perspective, investing in one's appearance can be seen as a subconscious way to signal reproductive fitness, which can increase their chances of attracting a mate.
