Hello and again i’m olesya and this is my blog on the topic “how i applied for a driver’s license”
id: 10044460

My first attempt to become a driver was made back in 2006. I, being a student from out of town, decided that I needed to have a car in order to move around the city freely, and also to go to my parents. Have the opportunity to be independent of public transport.

Why was my attempt unsuccessful?

A frivolous approach to business. Driving in transport carries a very great responsibility, since often the health and even lives of people depend on the behavior of the driver on the road. When I started studying, I often skipped theory classes without a good reason. With half-hearted grief, I passed the internal theory exam, or rather, I didn’t even pass it, but wrote it off.
When practical classes began, it was difficult for me to ride without theory. However, I wasn’t too lucky with the instructors; at that time there were two of them. The first was a very experienced, elderly man, but he abused alcohol, so he canceled classes very often. The second instructor, on the contrary, was very young and had no experience. He explained, I didn’t understand anything.
As a result, having never learned anything, I abandoned driving school.

A lot of time has passed since that very first attempt. We had to constantly ask neighbors and colleagues to give us a ride or walk in the rain, snow, and cold. Sometimes we took a taxi, and this is also a big loss to the family budget, because taxis are expensive here. And now the idea of going to study has matured again. In general, I decided to go to school for the second time only because I needed to somehow move around with the children, transport them.

My first instructor, it seemed to me, was not too serious. The entire time we traveled with him, which was 6 lessons, he did not try to teach me any driving. The instructor told me jokes, made me laugh, and also told me about his interests and travels.

I changed instructor. The second instructor had a lot of positive feedback, but, unfortunately, he soon died from a protracted illness.

From the second instructor I moved on to another instructor, this time a woman. I thought that maybe this way it would be easier for me to receive information.

At first glance, the instructor made a pleasant impression on me, I really liked her. However, I was overshadowed by the fact that very often while driving we went about her business, constantly while driving the instructor talked on the phone for a very long time, not engaging in the learning process itself. As a result, a lot of my time was lost and a lot of money wasted. But I never passed the exam.

The most offensive thing was that before the exam, instead of support, I heard sarcasm from my mentor: “You think that you will pass, but this is very self-confident.” It was very unpleasant and difficult to hear this from a person you trust, from your teacher.
I was very disappointed in her as an instructor, as well as in myself, for not initially listening to my inner doubts.

Next came a white stripe. I found a competent instructor who was very attentive to me, who shared all his knowledge in a very accessible way and supported everything with examples. He taught me a lot in a fairly short period of time, and I finally received my long-awaited license. Thank you very much to my teacher for this, his serious approach and support helped me a lot.

Now I drive a car, it’s very convenient that I can take my children and myself to where I need to go without the help of my husband and other people. If you decide to go towards the goal, then try, analyze your mistakes and don’t give up.

Thank you all for your attention. Best regards, Olesya.
