All those who come to this site and search for their husband/wife, should realize that there will be some obstacles on the way to happiness. It is only half the work to find a person who you really like. The next step is to meet him or her, and that’s the moment when you realize that you neither of you speak each other’s language. Surely you can meet with an interpreter a few times, but then what? You cannot live with this interpreter for the rest of your life, right?

My decision to learn foreign languages was partially connected with my desire to find my future man abroad. I understood the importance of speaking one language, as communication is the key to successful relationship.

I know how hard it is to learn a foreign language. It requires time, energy and to be honest – money. Education at the university is not cheap and many people can’t afford it at all. The department of foreign languages is considered to be one of the most prestigious and therefore one of the most expensive ones. If a person decides to enroll on language courses, it is not cheaper either. It may cost half of the monthly salary. I could continue with the prices of books, disks etc… but I think you got the point – it is not cheap to learn a foreign language in our country.

So, here is my advice to men, if you don’t mind listening to it. If you have already found a woman you like, help her with learning a foreign language in any way you can, don’t leave her to solve this problem herself. And a piece of advice to women, try listening to lyrics of the songs and learning some words from it, look for your books from school and refresh your knowledge, even tiny steps will help. I am sure when a couple works together like a team, all problems can be solved. Agree?
