I am not afraid of changes and taking risks any more.

One June morning I woke up and decided that I have to take a risk and go somewhere abroad without a travel agency help. I called my friend to share my idea with her and she supported my plan. So we bought the tickets, packed out luggages and here we go.
The way to Paris took 3 days and was very tiring but I was not afraid and looked for adventure. We had it to the full extent.
We wanted to see the Eiffel Tower at night. It was breathtaking. We knew that we had to be in the underground till midnight. In any case we were there at 11 pm. Everything was ok till we needed to take another line. It was closed as we were too late. With no French and with my limited English it seemed almost impossible to get out of the underground. We felt like we were the characters of the movie «2 women and 2 kids are lost in the underground».
We got home about 2 am by taxi and thought that our adventure was over... but it appeared that it was only beginning. We opened the door and got into another movie. It was a horror movie. There were millions of cockroaches everywhere. Walls, sofa and floor seemed to be moving because of those disgusting moving creatures. Needless to say that we did not sleep all night. Early morning we called our landlord and he told us that he had heard about this problem for the first time and he did not want to give us money back. So we had to stay in that horror movie all 5 days that we were in Paris. We lived with electricity on  all  the time and it helped.
Then there was the third movie "As we wanted to rob the Louvre''. It was a comedy. On our way there we were caught by rain and got wet. But it was ok. Adventure started at the entrance. My friend was stopped by a guard. You should have seen her face when the guard took a knife from her backpack. Explanation was very easy. She took apples and a knife to cut them for the kids and forgot about that.
In addition on our last day in Paris I was fined  in the underground as we used a ticket not in the right way. Just our mistake.
In spite of all these troubles we had an amazing trip. I love Louvre and Versailles. Kids were happy to visit Disneyland. I was actually happy to be there also. We all have a small kid inside. Agree?
We also decided to try what France is famous for. Croissants  were amazing but I did not like  French champagne. Here we have a sweet one and the French one was sour for me. For sure I will not be a sommelier.
I always wanted to travel and I am so glad that my dreams came true. It was the first step but I am ready to go further.
I think you are already tired. Long story. Thank you very much for taking time to read it ))
Warmly, Marina
