1. Reflect on your desires.
It's better to prepare for your birthday in advance, ideally within the 12 days leading up to it. Take two sheets of paper. On one, write "Turning Points." Recall the problems and mistakes you've had throughout the year and write down the experience gained from them. On the second sheet, write "Wishes." List what you want to achieve in the upcoming year. Include activities you'd like to engage in, places you'd like to visit, acquisitions you want to make, achievements, and so on. From these two lists, select the 12 most important wishes. It's crucial to formulate your wishes correctly. Examples and rules for formulating wishes can be found in my next posts. Now, after determining your main desires, you can consciously set priorities - decide what to let go of and what to focus on more. It's very beneficial that you took the time to reflect on your values, paid attention to the experience gained, and focused on yourself and your interests.
2. "Launch the Dream". Activating your desires.
Once you have a list of 12 wishes, you can create "projections." This means imagining each dream coming true. For example, if you want a car, go for a test drive. If skiing is on your agenda, take out your skis and try them on. If a beach trip is in your plans, add sea salt to your bath and play the sound of the sea. If you want to get married, buy your future spouse a toothbrush and slippers. If you want a child, visit a children's store or play with someone's baby. For prosperity, visit places associated with abundance (view apartments in a luxury building, yacht club, jewelry store, fur store, etc.). Some actions can serve as a starting point for your intended goals. For example, if you want to get a driver's license or learn English, sign up for courses. If you want to learn how to paint or sing, find a teacher. There's no limit to the imagination in activating your desires. Thus, you can spend your birthday fun, interesting, and beneficial.
3. Letter to the future.
Write a letter to yourself listing your top 12 wishes or goals for the year. Wish yourself good luck! You should read this letter a year later on your next birthday. Some mail services have a feature to send at a specific date and time. Send yourself a letter to the future and put it in an envelope for safekeeping. It will be interesting to read and compare your wishes with actual achievements a year later.
4. Congratulate yourself. Give yourself gifts.
Give yourself something you've been dreaming about for a long time on this day. It's useful to "take a leap of faith" and do what you want but have been afraid to. Try doing what you love but have always postponed due to lack of time or money. Treat yourself on this day. You deserve it!
5. Balloon exercises.
Inflate balloons and write negative words on them with a marker that you want to remove from your life. For example, fears, problems, illnesses, worries, failures. Take a needle. On the eve, or even better, 12 minutes before your birthday, pop these balloons while saying, "I say goodbye to...".
On your Birthday, surround yourself with helium balloons with inscriptions of your top 12 wishes. For example, "health", "love", "cozy and spacious apartment", "car", "wedding", "child", etc.
These five ideas can be implemented not only on your Birthday, but also on New Year's, Christmas, or any other special day for you.
In conclusion, about feelings.
How do you feel on your birthday? I often hear from people: "Oh well!... Birthday - just an unnecessary reminder to me about age and old age!", "I don't like my Birthday! It's a sad holiday" and so on.
It's all about focus. What are you focusing on? I suggest choosing to make yourself happy.
Just think about it - your Birthday is the day you were born, the day you came into the world! Isn't it a blessing that you exist? Let's celebrate this wonderful day - the day of your birth - with gratitude.
