Half of January has already passed, the holiday lights have gone out, and it seems like just yesterday that we were enjoying the New Year’s mood. I understand how difficult it is for many of us to return to everyday routine, especially when winter outside with its cold and gray days reminds us that the holidays are behind us.
Regular Sleep: You may have allowed yourself a more flexible sleep schedule during the holidays, but now is the time to get back to a regular sleep schedule. Plan your sleep so that you wake up each morning refreshed and ready to take on the day.
Morning Routine: Create an enjoyable morning routine that will help you start your day on a positive note. This could be exercise, a cup of aromatic coffee, or a moment of silence before a storm of business.
Gradual return to work: Don't try to solve all the problems at once. Start by gradually returning to work responsibilities, breaking them down into smaller tasks. This will help avoid stress and feelings of overwhelm.
Planning for rest: It is important to build time for rest into your schedule. Remember that resting not only on weekends, but also taking short breaks during the day can improve your productivity.
Taking care of your health: Virus season often comes with winter, so support your immunity. Regular walks in the fresh air, food rich in vitamins and physical activity are your best ally in the fight against all sorts of troubles.
I created these simple rules for myself more than 20 years ago and they have never let me down!
How do you cope with the start of work life after the holidays?
