✅Jellied
Jellied meat is an integral part of the Ukrainian holiday table. It consists of a solidified broth with pieces of meat (chicken, beef, pork, turkey, etc.). For many foreigners, the combination of meat and jelly is incomprehensible, because in the cuisine of most countries of the world, jelly is usually sweet, and the broth is only hot. Also surprising are certain ingredients of jellied meat - pork hooves, ears, skin or bones.
✅Salo
For many Ukrainians, lard is a real national symbol. Ukrainians have been consuming lard since ancient times, because this product contains a lot of calories and can be stored for a long time. Foreigners cannot understand the taste of raw, cold pork fat, even in combination with onions or garlic.

Fried lard or cracklings are actually also a rather specific dish; probably, it was with their help that the power of the Cossacks was tested.

Also an amazing combination, even for many Ukrainians, is lard with chocolate - small pieces of lard are covered with chocolate glaze.
✅Krovyanka
The main ingredient of blood sausage is bovine, veal or pork blood. For most Ukrainians, blood milk is a familiar and favorite dish. Foreigners do not understand the love for sausage made from animal blood.
✅Sauerkraut
Sauerkraut is a classic dish not only of Ukrainian, but also of Polish, Czech, German and Dutch cuisine. There is an analogue of sauerkraut in Asia - Korean cabbage kimchi. However, the population of most countries in the world does not consume cabbage, much less sauerkraut.
