Until the day do us part

I made coffee, sat down in a chair and began to look at her. I didn’t want to wake her up, but she woke up on her own. Opening her eyes, she smiled. She knew that I prepared breakfast for her every morning, but every morning she was happy as if it was the first time. I liked that she was lying in bed and drinking coffee; I didn’t understand women who, carrying the mystery of the night and the warmth of sleep, put on a robe and bustled around in the kitchen. We were together, and I was not burdened by her presence, as it usually was with others. Others, with her I forgot about them, forgot about everything that happened so long ago.
– I want to take a little walk, if you don’t mind. After all, today is Saturday and you don’t have to leave so early. “I’ll show you some amazing places,” she said. – Have you noticed that when we leave the house, the sun is always shining? – I asked.
“It will always shine here because you are with me,” she answered, looking up at the sky with a smile.
“Every time it becomes more and more difficult for me to leave you, I so want to stay here, with you, forever.”
“And it’s getting more and more difficult for me to stay here and wait.” Be patient, everything will change soon. Remember, just recently we didn’t even know each other. And if you want, we can meet in other places.
“No, I’m so afraid that one day I won’t find you.” Let's see each other only here, while here, because I'm not free yet.
- Don't be afraid, I will always wait for you. Wait a few more hours or moments and we will be together again. As always, until the day do us part,” she said, gently squeezing my hand.
“Until the day do us part,” I repeated to myself. Until the day does us part...

She slept, slept and lived in her dream for many years. I stood and looked at her, at her beautiful, pale face. Where is she now? In whose dreams? In what worlds? But I know that today she will be waiting for me again, as always, and we will be together again until the day separates us.
