why does time fly so fast, and why don’t we get anything done?

1. Modern lifestyle

Modern lifestyle means we are constantly on the run. The desire for success and achievement makes us constantly move forward. However, this creates the feeling that there is not enough time for everything we want to do.

2. Technological developments

Technologies that were supposed to help us save time often have the opposite effect. Smartphones, social networks, streaming platforms - they all create an endless number of opportunities for distraction and procrastination.

3. Insufficient planning

Often we don't plan our time effectively. Insufficiently accurate or realistic plans can lead to us not being able to accomplish everything we planned.

4. Lack of priorities

Sometimes we get caught up in the little things instead of focusing on the important tasks. This can drain our time and energy, leaving us feeling like we haven't accomplished anything.

5. Perception of time

Research shows that the older we get, the faster time seems to pass. This may be due to the fact that the longer we live, the less each year amounts to in our lives, which in turn is perceived as time speeding up.

What we can do?

Although we can't stop time, we can learn to manage it better:

Plan your time: Make realistic plans and set priorities.

Manage your attention: Limit time spent on the Internet and social media to avoid distractions.

Learn to Say No: Don't be afraid to say no to things that might distract you from important tasks.

Adjust your time perception: Try living in the present moment, and practice meditation or mindfulness to improve your time perception.

Although time may seem to slip away, we can still learn to live in harmony with it and use it to our advantage.

Thank you all for your attention, I hope you liked it!
