Today I want to talk to you about music and how it affects my mood and emotions. For me, music is more than just sounds, it is a powerful tool that can inspire, soothe and even heal.
Since childhood, music has occupied a special place in my life. I grew up in Ukraine, where folk music is imbued with deep emotions and stories. Listening to the melodic sounds of the bandura and vociferous folk songs, I felt like I was part of something big and significant. These moments sparked my love for music and its ability to influence my mood.
After moving to the USA, I discovered many new music genres and artists. One of my favorite genres is pop music. Artists like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have become my favorites. Their music helps me cope with everyday stress and lifts my spirits in moments of sadness. The lyrics of their songs often resonate with my own feelings and experiences, which makes them even more meaningful to me.
When I need to relax and calm down, I prefer to listen to classical music or jazz. The plays of Chopin or the melodies of Louis Armstrong can instantly transport me to a world of peace and harmony. These genres help me focus and find inner balance in stressful moments.
For inspiration and motivation, I often choose rock and indie music. Bands like Imagine Dragons and Florence + The Machine, with their energetic rhythms and powerful lyrics, are able to awaken in me the strength and determination to move forward. These songs remind me that I can overcome any challenge and achieve my goals.
Music also plays an important role in my training. I love playing sports to rhythmic tracks that energize me and keep me in good shape. My sports playlist includes tracks from Cardi B to Dua Lipa that help me stay motivated and active.
In addition, music helps me create a special atmosphere at home. I love playing soft background music while cooking or evening family dinners. It adds comfort and relaxation to our evenings, making them even more enjoyable and memorable.
