Soon we're going to celebrate Easter, so I wish you to find your bunny with a basket of Easter eggs!
Do you want to know more about Ukraine? Here Easter is one of main holidays with it's own customers and traditions.. For example, before Easter we have Lent, Cheese-day, Willow-Sunday..
Willow-Sunday is my favorite) Because at this day we decorate our apartments and houses with greet elements such as.. flowers, grass, branches...
Pussy willows are the preferred branch, but ordinary willows will be ok also;) Long branches are cut, and are blessed during the mass. Then it are passed out, and people (mostly young ones) then go around hitting each other with them and saying:
It’s not me hitting you,
It’s the willow hitting you,
In a week it will be Easter,
Soon you will have a red egg.
Yes... And we do have a tradition of battle on hard-boiled Easter eggs...
For those who want to spend time in Ukraine, especially during Easter holiday there gonna be a lot of surprises!
Anyway, I wish everyone who reads my post to find his soulmate and celebrate this holiday together. And since you are looking for a wive among Ukrainians, I wish you at least one time in your life to visit Ukraine for Easter and experience our traditions on your own skin!
