First, it is important to understand that commercialism is not a unique trait of women. People of any gender can be materialists. However, society often attaches this label to women, which is a manifestation of gender bias.
Secondly, the assumption that a woman is only interested in a man for his money diminishes her as a person. At the same time, her abilities, skills, interests and feelings are ignored. Women, like men, seek support, understanding, respect and love in relationships.
It's also worth noting that financial stability is one aspect that can be attractive in a relationship, but that doesn't mean it's the only or even the main criterion. People strive for security, and that's normal. But this does not make them mercantile.
We must abandon simplistic ideas and understand that relationships between people are much more complex than just the exchange of material goods. Let's judge people by their actions and words, not by outdated stereotypes.
