Historical sights 🏰
You should definitely visit the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Pechersk Monastery. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, founded in 1051, is a vast complex of churches, bell towers and underground caves that have served as a spiritual center for centuries. ⛪️ This monastery is truly majestic, beautiful and large.

Another iconic landmark I would recommend visiting is the Hagia Sophia Cathedral with its stunning golden domes and intricate mosaics. It is simply a masterpiece of architecture. This cathedral is a testament to the historical significance and architectural excellence of Kiev. ✨
Green areas and parks 🌳
Kiev is famous for its beautiful parks and green spaces. Mariinsky Park offers a picturesque view of the Dnieper River and is the perfect place for a leisurely stroll to organize your thoughts (speaking from my own experience). Shevchenko Park, located next to the Taras Shevchenko National University, is another popular spot, with brightly colored elegant flowerbeds and a monument dedicated to Ukraine's national poet Taras Shevchenko. 🌸

Modern Kyiv 🌆 Apart from its historical charm, Kyiv is a bustling modern city with an active rhythm of life. Khreshchatyk Street, the main thoroughfare, is dotted with stores, cafes and restaurants, making it a great place to explore the energy of the city. On weekends, the street becomes pedestrian-only, creating a festive atmosphere perfect for exploring the city. 🎉

St. Andrew's Descent is a historic cobblestone street known for its artisan stores, galleries, and street performances. It is often referred to as Kiev's Montmartre and is a center for artists and tourists. 🎨

Culinary delights 🍲.
Kiev's culinary scene is diverse and delicious, you can try everything from traditional Ukrainian dishes to international cuisine. Don't forget to try borscht, a hearty beet soup, or varenyky, delicious dumplings filled with potatoes, cheese or cherries. And you will not regret it. Be sure to try "Kiev Perepichka", a local street food favorite: sausage wrapped in dough and deep-fried to perfection. 🌭

Final thoughts 💭 Kiev is a city that seamlessly blends its rich past with its current active pace of life. Whether you're exploring its historical sights, relaxing in its parks or enjoying its culinary delights, Kiev offers a unique and unforgettable experience. Come and discover the charm of this wonderful city! ✈️
