Fear of the first meeting in real life
id: 10053507

We can communicate online for a long time, get to know each other through messages and letters, share the most intimate thoughts and feelings. But despite this, the moment of the first meeting in real life is still exciting and even a little scary.

Why? Why, having known a person for some time, do we still experience this fear? Maybe because in virtual communication we create a certain image of each other. And then comes the moment when this image must meet reality. We are afraid of being disappointed or, even worse, disappointing the other.

This fear is a kind of mirror of our expectations. We want everything to work out perfectly, for reality to correspond to the ideas that we have built in our heads. But life is rarely what we imagine it to be, and that's okay. After all, a real meeting is not only a test of images, but also an opportunity to discover something new in a person that was impossible to catch through the screen.

Perhaps the fear of the first meeting is also connected with the fact that in real life it is more difficult for us to hide our emotions and feelings. The virtual world allows us to be more protected, but in live communication we become more vulnerable. And there is beauty in this - to be real, sincere, even if it is scary.

I think that despite this fear, it is important not to avoid the first meeting. After all, only in real life can you truly feel a person, understand whether he or she is right for you on a deep level. Fear is a natural reaction to something new and unknown, but it should not become an obstacle on the way to something beautiful.
