In Ukraine, it is customary to take off your shoes when entering a house. We do this everywhere - from small apartments to large houses, and it is considered a sign of respect for the house and its inhabitants, dear.
However, I noticed that in some other countries, especially Western ones, you can walk around the house in shoes, and this also has its advantages. 🤔🌏 It is, of course, more convenient and does not require additional efforts to take off and put on shoes every time you enter the house. Especially if you, like me, wear high heels - this can be really difficult and uncomfortable. 😅
I wonder how this affects the condition of the floor and the furnishings in the house? Ideally, dear, I would like to know how possible problems are solved in countries where it is customary to walk around the house in shoes. Will a hairpin, for example, damage the floor or leave marks? 💭 Or are there any special precautions?
I would be glad to receive any advice and your personal opinions on this matter. 😊💕
