The traditional patriarchal family in our understanding consists of a man, a woman and their minor children. In this arrangement, the main man, his word is decisive in all matters. Also, a number of problems fall on the shoulders of the man - this is the full provision of the family, the position of the family in society, the arrangement and provision of work for sons. The rest of the responsibilities fell on the woman, such as raising children, running the household alone and a number of other issues.
In the 21st century, the concept of a traditional family has changed. In many ways, in my opinion, feminism is to blame. Women received equal rights with men. The right to vote, the right to study and work. And now in a standard family, a woman also takes on the responsibility of earning money, and a man, in turn, shares household responsibilities and raising children.
Is it so convenient now? After all, not everyone understands the meaning of that very “equality”. Should a woman work? Should a man make decisions alone? This is a matter for each individual couple.
Which family structure is closer to you? The classic one - where the man is the main one, the woman runs the household. Or a more modern one, where both share the responsibilities equally?
