Do you know what a curfew is?
id: 10052869

Today I want to share something that maybe not everyone is familiar with. Ukraine has had a curfew for quite some time now, and it seriously affects our daily lives. Imagine that you have to be home by a certain time every night, and at night you can't leave the house even in emergencies. Sounds a bit creepy, doesn't it? Especially when you have important errands to run or just want to take a walk under the night sky 🌙.
For us, it has become not just a part of reality, but also a kind of limitation that is hard to explain to those who have never experienced it. For example, there are times when you have to change all your plans and adapt to this limitation, but what do you do if something is urgent? Or when you just want to have coffee with a friend late at night, but you know you won't be able to get home 😬.
And I've always wondered, what's it like in other countries? Especially if you live in places where no one has ever heard of curfews. Do you know what it's like to be restricted in your freedom of movement? How would you feel if every night you had to obey strict rules and come home before a certain time?
It's not just an inconvenience - it affects your sense of freedom and how you plan your life. Sure, there's a reason for these measures - safety and security - but it somehow becomes sad when you look at the city at night through your window, realizing that you can't just go outside and breathe in the cool air. 😔
