In the past, I used to throw Halloween parties primarily for my son. We would decorate our flat with spooky decorations, 🦇 prepare a festive dinner, and stock up on sweets to share with his friends. Those days were filled with laughter and excitement, and I cherished every moment of it. 🍬👻
However, as my son has grown into a teenager, he’s begun to crave more independence. This year, he has decided to celebrate Halloween with his friends instead. He’s chosen to dress up as a vampire, and his costume is quite simple yet effective. He’ll wear a classic black outfit with a white shirt, and I’m happy to lend him my black trench coat to complete the look. 🧛♂️ It’s bittersweet for me, knowing he’s stepping into a new phase of life, but I’m excited for him to create his own memories.
Although our family doesn’t celebrate Halloween in the traditional sense, I find joy in the creativity that this holiday brings. It’s heartwarming to see how the community is coming together to enjoy this occasion, even if it’s a bit different from the usual customs.
Wishing you a spooky and joyful Halloween, wherever you may celebrate! 🕷✨
