Spider Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
200 g butter (soft)
150 g sugar
1 egg
400 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla sugar
100 g dark chocolate (for decoration)
Confectionery glaze (black and white) for spiders
Preparation:
Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the soft butter with sugar until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla sugar, mix thoroughly.
Add flour: Sift the flour with baking powder and gradually add it to the butter mixture. Knead the dough that does not stick to your hands.
Form the cookies: Form small balls from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Press each ball lightly to flatten it.
Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
Decoration: Once cooled, melt the dark chocolate and drizzle over the cookies. Use the pastry icing to create spiders. Cut out the legs and eyes for your “spiders” from the icing.
