Do you know how to cook shawarma?
id: 10041566

remember the first time I tried it in a small tent on the embankment. Juicy lavash, baked meat, crispy vegetables and that very sauce that makes you want to close your eyes and just enjoy the moment! Inspired by this taste, I, of course, wondered: can I repeat this at home? As it turned out, homemade shawarma is not only real, but also surprisingly simple! You don't have to be a chef or have a bunch of rare ingredients. Everything is simple: chicken (or any other meat to taste), spices, fresh vegetables and lavash. And, of course, that very sauce that does all the magic! By the way, everyone has their own: some add garlic, some like a yogurt base, and sometimes I experiment with adding herbs and spices. Preparation takes no more than half an hour. I fry the meat until crispy, cut it into thin strips so that it is better saturated with spices. Then I put everything in a pita bread - and voila! Hot, aromatic and favorite shawarma is ready! Of course, my family is always happy with such experiments, especially when the culinary creativity turns out no worse than in a cafe. Even my son sometimes tries to help: he enthusiastically wraps his small portion and adds more sauce (children, yes, always like to go a little overboard with bright flavors 😊). How about you? Do you cook shawarma at home or do you still prefer to buy it in a trusted place? Share your recipes, and who knows, maybe together we will create the perfect version of this street classic! Yours, Anastasia.
