Paper letters — warm memories of the past
id: 10052353

When I was a teenager, I corresponded with a school friend who moved to another city. We wrote to each other about what we were going through, shared small joys and disappointments. I remember how sometimes I included dried flowers in letters, described events in vivid colors, and then waited for weeks for an answer. With what excitement I unwrapped each envelope! The letter was like a gift - you see the lines, and it seems that they glow with warmth and attention. What I especially like about paper letters is their uniqueness. Each letter seems to keep a piece of the soul of the writer: the style of handwriting, uneven lines from excitement or, on the contrary, verified words - all this transfers you to the author. And when you find these letters years later, you seem to return to that moment again, re-experiencing the events. These are such pleasant little "time machines". Today, paper letters are rare, but sometimes I want to write to an old friend or leave a message to a loved one, knowing that he or she will find it in a few days. Letters bring back to me a feeling of closeness and warmth that is so difficult to convey through screens.
And how are you, friends? Do you have memories associated with letters?
