Probably, each of us at least once in our lives thought about how to free ourselves from exhausting emotions. We often say to ourselves: "That's it, I don't want to fall in love anymore - it's too painful!", "I won't get attached, it's easier this way", "No desires, otherwise there will only be disappointments." It sounds like a way to protect yourself, to create a kind of armor that will protect you from suffering. But... what remains when all this is gone? I once thought that such "walls" are a kind of power. But over the years I realized: sometimes we lose the taste for life, defending ourselves from pain and disappointment. After all, how can we understand what true joy is without knowing sadness? How can we appreciate a bright feeling without facing dark moments?
In fact, feelings - even pain and disappointment - make us alive, fill us with experience, wisdom. It's like the sea: sometimes stormy, sometimes calm, but always real. And, perhaps, true peace is not avoiding emotions, but accepting them, the ability to maintain balance even when the heart is overwhelmed with feelings.
So let's not be afraid to love, suffer and want. Not only pain lives in this, but also joy, because they are two sides of the same coin. What do you think, friends?
