Women behind the wheel: myths and reality
id: 10052353

Myth 1: "Women have poor road navigation"
There is an opinion that women are worse than men at navigating space and traffic conditions. Meanwhile, according to statistics, women are often more careful behind the wheel. Caution is not a disadvantage, but, on the contrary, an important quality of a driver. And who said that only men can easily find their way? We women also have excellent navigation skills - we just sometimes like to plot our own routes!

Myth 2: "Women drive more slowly and carefully than men"
And there is some truth in this myth: women really do choose a calm driving style more often. But, in fact, this is not a disadvantage at all. Sticking to the speed limit is not a weakness, but an important quality. It is respect for yourself, for other people on the road, for your passengers. Being careful means understanding the risks and being able to make decisions. By the way, according to statistics, women get into accidents less often than men, which, I think, says a lot.
Myth 3: "A woman does not know how to deal with technical problems"
Yes, of course, not all of us know how to fix an engine or change the oil, but who said that every man can do it? Most modern drivers rely on professionals in car services, and this is normal. And if necessary, we will always find a way to deal with technical difficulties. After all, any problem can be solved, especially if you are not afraid to ask for help.
Personal experience
When I first got behind the wheel, I admit, I was a little scared. At first, it seemed that I needed to do everything at once: change gears, watch the mirrors, signs, pedestrians ... But with each passing day, my confidence grew. Now I love driving! It is freedom and the opportunity to always be mobile. And here's what I'll say: the more experience, the less anxiety, and over time, driving becomes as natural as walking. So, dear ladies, don't listen to stereotypes and jokes. If you love driving, go for it and enjoy the road! Smooth roads and joy behind the wheel to everyone!
This was Maria. Until next time!
