When silence says more than words: can silence bewitch?

Have you ever had this? When the silence between you becomes sweet, almost tangible. I had one evening when we were just sitting next to each other. Without words, without unnecessary explanations. It was quiet, but this silence felt like the best conversation. I understood then that sometimes silence is a mysterious language that only closeness can speak. After all, when two people understand each other, is there a need to talk?

Of course, it's debatable: after all, what if silence becomes awkward? But perhaps it is precisely silence that becomes eloquent, when you trust, when you feel comfortable, and when every glance or touch says something that words cannot convey.

And how do you feel about such moments? Could you just sit next to someone without saying a word, and still feel that more was said than during a long conversation?
