Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is, perhaps, one of the coziest and most family-oriented holidays of the year. For me, it’s not just a day of a plentiful feast with turkey, although that certainly plays a part! It’s a day when I especially acutely feel gratitude for all the good things in my life.

In my family, Thanksgiving is always a big event. We gather together – all relatives, from the youngest to the oldest – and spend the whole day talking, laughing, and, of course, enjoying delicious food. The preparations begin several days beforehand: we choose recipes, buy groceries, and decorate the house. There’s a certain charm in this process too – cooking together, sharing stories, and anticipating the magic.

The most memorable part of our celebration is undoubtedly the atmosphere. It’s the smell of roasted turkey, a cozy fireplace (weather permitting), and, of course, warm conversations around the table. We share news with each other, reminisce about past years, and plan for the future. It’s a time when you can escape the daily hustle and bustle and simply enjoy spending time with loved ones.

This year, I am especially grateful for the fact that my loved ones and I are alive, for the fact that we were able to come together here. Maybe it’s the health of my family, the opportunity to travel, or simply the little joys that make each day special.

How do you spend Thanksgiving? What traditions are there in your family? Share your stories and thoughts in the comments! I’m very interested to learn what this holiday means to you. May your Thanksgiving be filled with warmth, coziness, and gratitude!
