This Japanese proverb - “Fall seven times, get up eight” - is more than just words for me. It is a reminder that even in the most difficult moments it is important not to give up. Life does not wait for us to feel sorry for ourselves. It moves forward, and every step we take, no matter how shaky, brings us closer to a new point of support.
I remember my falls: mistakes that seemed unforgivable, losses that left an emptiness inside. There were days when I wanted to give up, close my eyes and not open them until better times. But you know what I realized? Better times do not come by themselves. They are born from our efforts, from our desire to go further, no matter what.
Every fall is not the end. It is a lesson. It is an opportunity to look at ourselves from the outside, to realize that we are still strong, still able to fight. Sometimes I want to believe that difficulties appear so that we become better, stronger, wiser. And even if it sounds like a platitude, but every time I rise from the ground, I feel a new fire blazing inside me. So, if you are on the ground now - get up. Let it not be easy, let it take time. But take this step. Life always rewards those who are not afraid to rise again.
With love for yourself and faith in your strength,
Maria .
