1. In nature, where it is hot, but there is water
One of the best ways to survive the summer heat is to go to nature, and, of course, closer to water. Summer is the time for the beach, river or lake. I take a good book, a comfortable beach blanket and lots of water with me. I swim, sunbathe, sometimes I fish, but the main thing is that water helps to cope with high temperatures.
If there are no natural reservoirs nearby, then you can just spend time in the park, next to fountains or find any other place where there is at least a small reservoir. It is incredibly pleasant to relax by the water and forget yourself in the shade of the trees.
2. In search of taste pleasures
It is not for nothing that they say that on hot days food plays a special role in our mood. In the summer you want something light and refreshing. In search of hot weekends, I always go to the market for fresh fruits and berries, make smoothies or delicious salads with greens. Another good way is to try new recipes for cooling drinks and desserts.
I also can’t forget about summer picnics with friends or family gatherings. Who can resist an outdoor barbecue? Refreshing drinks help to cope with the heat at such moments, as well as the fun that is created by friendly conversations and delicious food.
3. Active recreation for body and spirit
Hot weekends are, of course, not a reason for complete laziness! On the contrary, I try to make these days active in order to keep fit and recharge my batteries. Cycling around the city or the surrounding area, morning jogging in the park, or rollerblading are all great ways to diversify the day before it gets too hot.
On the other hand, if the heat is so unbearable that outdoor workouts are impossible, you can go to an indoor pool or play table tennis with friends.
4. Night in the open air
When the day ends and the heat subsides a little, I prefer to spend the evenings in the fresh air. A great option is night walks, especially when the stars are shining brightly in the sky. Often after such an active day, I get together with friends at the dacha or on the veranda, have a barbecue or just chat, enjoying the cool air.
I also don’t forget about summer night movie screenings on the street. With a projector and blankets, on pillows in the company of loved ones, you can watch your favorite films until late at night.
5. Spiritual renewal
A hot weekend is not only physical pleasure, but also spiritual renewal. On such days, I try to take time for myself: I meditate, read books, listen to music that brings calm. It is important to give yourself the opportunity to restore inner harmony, because you don’t need to travel to distant lands to do this.
One of my favorite places for solitude is a cozy veranda overlooking the sunset. With a cup of tea and my favorite album in the background, I get real pleasure from peace and harmony.
Conclusion
Hot weekends are, of course, not only about the heat. This is the time when you can make your life brighter and more intense, find joy and pleasure in ordinary things. Whether it’s active recreation, delicious food or an evening with a book - the main thing is that these moments bring happiness. And hot summer is just an opportunity to enjoy life and give yourself the warmest memories
