Recently, I thought about how often we, adults, lose touch with the miracles around us. Everything changed when my mother and I decided to become secret Santas for children who were left without parents because of the war. These kids, despite the difficulties, still believe in miracles. They write letters, make wishes, wait for someone to hear them.

It would seem such a simple idea - to collect gifts, wrap them, deliver them to children. But there is something much more behind it. It is an opportunity to give hope, a little light into their lives.

When you do a good deed, you become part of a chain of light and warmth that is passed on. Children who receive a gift today grow up believing in the kindness of people. And this faith changes the world.
