The New Year is coming soon, which means it's time to take stock and finish what you started. For me, this has become an important ritual - to close all unfinished business before the holiday in order to meet the new year with a clean slate. Why is this important? Firstly, it helps to get rid of the feeling of "duty". When unfinished business accumulates, they weigh on us, cause anxiety and prevent us from enjoying the holiday. Secondly, finishing tasks allows you to start the new year with a clear mind and ease, without unnecessary burden. I make a list: to clean something in the house, to complete goals at work, to help relatives, to meet with friends. It can even be a small thing, like sorting out old things or sending an important letter. Each completed item from the list gives a feeling of satisfaction.
