My favorite drink for the winter holidays.

Why hot chocolate?
To be honest, I love tea, I adore coffee, but in December and January, hot chocolate has a special place in my heart. It's like a hug in a cup - thick, tender, with a velvety taste that instantly lifts your mood. And it's also ideal for those very evenings when there is a snowstorm outside, and the house smells of pine and cinnamon.
A recipe with a soul and a secret
My recipe is simple, but it has its own tricks. I'll tell you in order:
I take the base from high-quality dark chocolate. No powder — just a real bar, which I break into pieces with trepidation. The richer the chocolate, the brighter the taste.
Milk — only warm, not boiled, to preserve the delicate texture. Sometimes I add a little cream for silkiness. The secret ingredient is a pinch of ground paprika. Yes, the spiciness gives the drink a piquant flavor and unusual depth. Consider this my variation of the famous Mexican chocolate.
I adjust the sweetness with honey — it adds a warm, soft taste to the drink. For aroma, I always throw in a pinch of cinnamon and a little vanilla. Sometimes I decorate with whipped cream and grated chocolate on top.
Serving ritual.
For me, it is important not only what to drink, but also how. I serve hot chocolate in my favorite ceramic mug with a winter pattern. In the evening, I put it on a tray with tangerines, turn on the garland and wrap myself in a blanket. The secret of happiness in every cup
This drink has long become a symbol of winter holidays for me. It is ideal for a cozy evening alone with a book, a fun meeting with friends or a quiet time with loved ones. Try adding a little magic to your cup this winter. And if you suddenly have your own secret recipes for winter drinks - share, I will be glad to try something new!
With warmth, the aroma of cinnamon and a festive mood, Marina.
