I came across a post in the blogs that asked why men lie. Of course, I could just shoot back and say that women in today's society often behave in a strikingly similar way. It seems that we men no longer have the sole monopoly in this area. So the question for me is how did it come about that men and women now seem to prefer living with a lie to the truth.
Every day we are shown on social media, or rather, it is simulated, how social status determines success or failure in all situations in life. But you have to ask yourself whether what we see there is really the reality for the majority of the population, which I doubt a little. So what happens if I don't fit this image on social media, don't wear the hip clothes, spend the wildest vacation at the influencer hotspots, or don't drive the Lamborghini that a 20-year-old shows me.
You get singled out and start building a history based on lies so you can keep up.
I can't give you any advice on how to deal with this, but both sexes should perhaps adapt their ideas and wishes to reality, and not everyone has a great job, a Lamborghini or a dream figure. But isn't this imperfection actually what makes life so much more interesting?
