How i recover after the holiday season: confessions of an argentine girl ☀️
id: 10056178

Let’s be real: December in Argentina is a non-stop parade of meat, wine, and sweets. We kick off with Christmas asado, keep the grill hot for New Year’s, and somehow, every gathering in between involves choripán. In January, I hit the reset button with lighter meals. Think fresh salads with avocado, grilled veggies, and lots of juicy watermelon. Oh, and swapping Fernet con Coca for good old water (at least for a week 😉).

New Year’s Eve in Argentina is practically a competition of who can launch the most fireworks. The result? A sky full of color and a head full of noise. Post-holidays, I treat myself to peaceful evenings. A good book, soft music, and maybe a matecito to help me unwind. My ears deserve the break!

The holiday season is one long blur of late-night dinners, dancing until dawn, and naps that feel like mini-hibernations. By January, my body clock is completely confused. I reset my schedule with early morning runs by the river or yoga in the garden. Starting my day with movement helps me feel human again. 🧘‍♀️

By February, I’m ready to take on the world again — just in time for Carnival! 💃 Until then, you’ll find me under a palm tree, sipping iced tereré and dreaming of the next asado. 🥩✨
