A wonderful Ukrainian tradition is Kolyadovaniye. It is not just singing songs, but real magic that makes the winter holidays unforgettable. Kolyadovaniye takes place during the Christmas period. Groups of people - usually children and young people - go from house to house, sing carols (traditional Christmas songs) and wish the hosts health, happiness and prosperity. In return, the hosts give treats: sweets, fruits or even money. The most interesting thing about Kolyadovaniye is the costumes! People dress up as characters such as shepherds, angels, a star, and sometimes funny "devils". Everything is accompanied by laughter, noise and a festive mood. This tradition unites generations, helps to preserve the culture and pleases everyone who takes part in it. Would you like to try caroling? Or maybe you've already heard carols? I would also like to learn about the traditions of other peoples.
I wish you a good mood,
Anna
