And in such conditions, our faith becomes one of the most reliable reference points, giving us the strength and wisdom to do the right thing. But what is important to remember? Even the strongest among us sometimes get lost. This is normal. After all, being human means being able to make mistakes. But the task of a Catholic, as it seems to me, is not just to believe in God, but also to unite with each other, helping each other become stronger, more tolerant, wiser. Not alone, but together.
We are all people, we all strive for God and find Him in different ways, but it is worth remembering that, even being a strong and believing person, sometimes there is not enough courage to stand in the way of resistance to those numerous temptations. It is terribly difficult if we are alone. And here comes the most important thing: we need the support of those who walk alongside us. We must help each other. Make sure that there is always a hand on our path, ready to support and inspire us when we need it.
Someone recently told me that in our time, many lack spiritual strength and courage, that becoming a true Catholic is not so easy. True, it is difficult to convince someone or even yourself to be steadfast in an era when everything is focused on tempting images, quick satisfaction of needs, virtual communication and cheap morality. But, you know, not all is lost. This is our main weapon against destruction: prayer and united strength. You and I are a team, a family in faith. Unity is the key.
This is why we and Catholics need to be close, to preserve the love that should unite us. To be one body in Christ. The process of salvation occurs not only through connection with God, but also through fraternal assistance. And perhaps this unification is not just a concept, but the real basis of our unity in difficult times.
You may be one of those who will understand that our modern life needs support much more than it seems at first glance. We are all obliged to create space for love, support and a true desire for good. Our faith inspires us. Otherwise, what is all this for? And why stand together with each other if not to help each other every day on the path to holiness, even through simple moments of communication?
You probably also understand that temptations on the path can be different: words from other people's lips, fiery pictures on the screens of phones and computers, the desire to seem better and more real than you are. And what to do here? For example, I believe that you can maintain your integrity only because we are together, supporting each other in words and actions. We must nourish each other not just with material for reflection, but with life - real, real support in the most sincere moments of weakness.
When something goes wrong, and it seems that there is no way out, we must not remain silent. There should be no obstacles to brotherhood and sisterhood in prayer. We must not just pass on kind words, but be truly alive for those who need help. Let each day be a step towards fortitude, towards unity.
So, my dear, when you go through your trial, remember: I am near. And it will be easier if we hold on to each other. If you do not let the temptation lead you astray, if you allow yourself to take and give support. After all, faith does not live in an empty field, it must live in community, in unity and in frankness. So do not give up. Do not lose your roots. God is with us, and we are here for each other.
Let your faith remain steadfast in this big and rapidly changing world. Believe and protect each other as best you can.
