To prove she is appreciated, loved, respected. And only to his WIFE! Because his wife will know instantly she not just any other woman to him. She is his only woman who is worthy of such admiration from him.
Why men have been refusing to buy women gifts. Things I've heard women say to men about their gifts.
Flowers: You killed something for me for a short time of pleasure. You should've bought be a plant instead.

I don't like that type. Dark , White, Milk,
I hate chocolate . You trying to get me fat. Your going to give me pimples.
Perfumes;
I don't care for that scent. Isn't this what your last woman wore. That's a small bottle. Or a large bottle a woman can say you expect me to bathe in that.
Jewelry can be even more dangerous for men. To big to small . I'm allergic to metal.
The best things men have heard. Is that's what you think I'm worth ? You don't think I'm worth me ? Any other guy would buy me something more appreciative. Are you trying to buy my love like a prostitute !
Clothes: it's to big or to small. I hate that color. You think I would wear that?
What you ladies need to realize is us men do not know you. Communication is EVERYTHING !!!
There's a million ways a man can go wrong with a woman . Without a chance to correct the mistake.

You should be asking yourself this question. How many others has he done this to ? Is that all he's going to give me in a relationship? What is he hiding or covering up, or making up for what he's lacking ?
Ask any divorced woman how they were showered with gifts or tokens. Then after they were married. It all stopped or rarely happen. Why in some men's minds he believes he did his job to win your heart. Why should he do any more.
