Well said!! I'm in 100% agreement with you. The internet is a wonderful invention. Gone are the days when we chose our spouses from within our own villages and neighborhoods, but now, with the advent of the internet, we have the whole world from which to choose. The world has become smaller, like a Global Village, things are more easily accessed. I can remember the days when we used to write to pen-pals. You had to write your letter then run down to the Post Office to purchase a stamp, then you posted it. Then you had to wait weeks, sometimes months for a reply. Now, with internet, everything happens instantly. I can come on this site and chat with someone in real time, isn't that something? The modern world is advancing and knowledge is increasing. Who knows what will happen next in the near future? Perhaps we might be tele-transported from one place to the next. Technology is advancing fast. I agree with you that it is easier to, sort of, "break the ice" between prospective friends (spouses) through this type of correspondence before the actual meeting takes place. In reality, fear and shyness are blocks to meeting with persons. This way, you can get to know each other and establish a "relationship" before the actual meeting. We have to be thankful for these sites for establishing friendships all over the world, even though one has to proceed with caution because all are not genuine. There are stories of good friendships formed on sites like these that has led to successful marriages and happy are those people who were fortunate to succeed. Some are not so fortunate and my heart bleeds for them. In this world, not everything suits everybody. There are successes and there are failures. Have a great day/night. KenMitch
