What do children teach us?🧸🎈
id: 10056534

👦 My son is a little philosopher. He sees the world completely differently than adults. Sometimes his words hit home so well that I catch myself thinking: “And he’s right.”

Once we were walking in the park, and he saw a man sitting on a bench feeding birds. I was lost in my thoughts, planning a to-do list, writing down in my head what needed to be done. And my son suddenly stopped and said:
— Mom, look, this uncle is happy. He’s just feeding the birds and smiling!

I looked at that man and realized that he was really happy. Not because of some grandiose events, not because of money or success. And simply because now he is doing what brings him joy.

And I thought. And when was the last time I did something just like that, without a plan, without a reason, just because it makes me happy?

Since that day, I have begun to notice the little things more. To rejoice in the warm rays of the sun. To listen to my son laugh. To eat my favorite ice cream without thinking about calories. To live here and now.

👶 Children teach us not to run forward, but to stop and appreciate the moment. They show that happiness is not somewhere out there, in the distant future. It is nearby.
