In my few years of existence I have become very skeptical of marketers and marketing.
They will say outlandish things to entice you to by their products.
This idea of the fragrance mixing with your body chemistry to make a "unique" aroma that is yours alone is not new.
I was a young Marine, stationed in North Carolina, and one day, with some friends I went to the beach. I met a beautiful girl, with long platinum blonde hair. She was a true Southern Belle. We dated for a while. One day, she decided to try a new fragrance.
It was new then, and is still on the market. This fragrance was supposed to mix with with her body chemistry for a unique experience. It did exactly that: it mixed with her body chemistry and the experience was certainly unique.
It was awful.
When she wore this fragrance, she could clear a room. It was extremely difficult to be intimate with her because, of course, she would employ a bit more of this fragrance to enhance the mood.
I did the best I could, but it was too much. I finally spoke to her mother about the situation, and her mother convinced her to go back to the former fragrance. The experience was very hurtful and embarrassing to my girlfriend, not to mention me and her mother.
To this day, if I buy a fragrance for myself, I don't just buy it because of how it smells in the bottle or on the little card they give me. I try it on myself, and ask the clerk to be honest as to how it smells. It is also good to have a friend with you, so they can give you an honest opinion. Don't just buy it because Angelina Jolie wears it, then go bounding home to show off your new fragrance to your gentleman friend.
You could be in for a very big surprise!
