Thinking one thing but saying another – mistake №2
id: 10047597

Imagine your partner is excited about opening a store. It annoys you, but you keep quiet and offer verbal support. The problem is:
Nonverbal cues will betray you. Your gaze, tone, and facial expressions will reveal what you really think. People pick up on inconsistencies, and sooner or later, they will sense the dishonesty.
You won’t be able to hold it in forever. Fatigue, stress, or irritation will break your facade, and your "support" may suddenly turn into an outburst of frustration. Trust will be damaged.
What to do?
✅ Be honest, but gentle. If your partner’s idea seems questionable, don’t shut it down—express your concerns and suggest alternatives. The key is a respectful tone.
✅ Shift your perspective. Sometimes, it helps to look for the positives in what seems like a mistake. After all, you might be wrong too.
