Love is not an infinite resource
We often perceive love as something boundless and selfless. But in fact, our ability to love has its limits. We can be generous with feelings, care and support, but if we do not receive a minimum of power and recognition in return, then over time our love will begin to dry up. It's like pouring water into a bottomless bucket - sooner or later it will just disappear, and you will remain dry. If you constantly give your love to someone who does not appreciate it, who does not respect your feelings, who does not see your tendency, it begins to drag you down. And eventually, you risk losing your value, your mass, your ability to love. Because love is not one direction. It is an exchange. And if you give, and nothing has changed in return, then it simply does not work. Love should not be one-sided. Do you know how many people continue to enter into relationships in which love has long ceased to be mutual? How many people suffer, trying to pull something good out of another person, to make him "appreciate" their feelings? But the truth is that if the other person does not see your values, does not care about you, does not respect your feelings, then this is not love. This is simply a judgment based on one person who constantly gives, and the other only receives. True love should be mutual. It should be supportive and caring. In such a relationship, you both grow, develop, support each other and strive to make each other happy. It is an exchange of emotions and warmth, not a fight for attention or a one-sided sacrifice.
Love is not a one-sided game. It requires reciprocity. Do not waste your time on someone who does not appreciate your inner world. It is better to leave room for those who will make your life brighter, for those who will be there, who will support and appreciate. Marina
