Our duty, as we understand it, is to perform the work entrusted to us, the results are in god's hands

After all, how often in life do we try to take control of everything: to build a career, to improve relationships, to find our path to happiness. We crave precise answers to questions about what to do and how, and if something doesn’t work out, we begin to doubt. We begin to blame ourselves.

You see, it seems to me that loneliness is not a punishment. It is rather a time when God gives us a chance to stop and think. Sometimes I think that I have been given more time to hear what I may not have heard in the noise of everyday life. This is not always an easy process. Honestly, sometimes it becomes scary when you realize how many questions remain unanswered. But you know what I realized? I realized that loneliness is not always a lack of something. It is an opportunity to think about what we already have. This is a chance to meet yourself.

And here, in this quiet time of reflection, the phrase of the founders of the United States comes, and it sounds like a reminder: "Our duty, as we understand it, is to perform the work entrusted to us, the results are in God's hands." What if we lived, truly trusting this? Would we feel less anxiety if we accepted each moment with gratitude for what it is, and did not try to change everything at once?

When you are alone, when you are searching, on a dating site, for example, this approach can be especially relevant. You probably wonder why you do not meet the very person with whom you would like to go through life? Why does not everything work out the way you would like? You may worry, doubt yourself, feel that time is running out. But here is what is important to remember: sometimes you are not alone. If you do not look at each event as a catastrophe, but simply trust the process, you can notice how unexpected miracles happen.

I would like to believe that the loneliness we experience along the way is part of the plan. That maybe God is giving us space to grow, to learn, to understand ourselves better before we meet someone who will become a part of our lives. And while the results, no matter how much we wait for them, are always in God’s hands, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep searching, keep working on ourselves, keep moving forward.

You don’t have to know everything, control everything, or understand everything. Trust the process. Do your work — and the results will come when they are meant to come.

With love and blessings,
Your Lana Banana
