How sport changed my life and taught me not to give up

Now I participate in marathons and coach others. Sport taught me that pain is not an enemy, but an ally. It shows where your limits are and helps you overcome them.

If you feel stuck in life, try sport. You don’t have to run marathons - start with walking, yoga, dancing. The main thing is to move forward.

When I started running, I couldn’t even imagine that I would ever run a marathon. But sport taught me that the main thing is not speed, but persistence. Every time I feel like I can’t do it anymore, I remind myself that it’s only temporary.

Sport is not only about physical strength. It’s about fortitude. It's about how we cope with difficulties and how we find the strength to continue.
