Re: Opposites attract...

One needs only to study the properties of magnets to see an example of how opposites attract. Two like poles on two magnets will repel each other. However, place the opposite poles together and they attract and stick.
Of course, this is empirical scientific evidence, and doesn't account for nuances in human nature.
Each condition is dependent upon its opposite condition in order to exist.
I call this the concept of contrasting elements.
Can you imagine the condition of "up" without having the condition of "down?"
Left, right?
On, off?
In, out?
This is a fact of nature.
These conditions are meant to be complimentary.
A woman needs a man who is complimentary, not opposite; like two gears meshing.
As a friend once said, "We fit; all the nooks and crannies."
So, I would say that complimentary personalities attract, but not opposites.
Interesting topic.
